FCDA EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, ENGR. UMAR GAMBO JIBRIN FELICITATES WITH 12TH EMIR OF NASARAWA, ALH. IBRAHIM USMAN JIBRIL

The Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Engr. Umar Gambo Jibrin has felicitated with Alh. Ibrahim Usman Jibril over his recent selection as the 12th Emir of Nasarawa Emirate in Nasarawa State.

Engr. Jibrin who led a delegation of the FCDA Executive Management Committee (EMC) to the Emir’s palace said that the FCDA family came to felicitate with the Emir as one of its own and the people of Nasarawa Emirate over the choice of the new Emir by the kingmakers.

In a letter of felicitation which was presented to the emir on the occasion, the Executive Secretary noted that “as an experienced public servant and a former Senior Colleague who has distinguished himself in all fronts, I have no doubt that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear on this coveted stool as a first class traditional ruler for the peace, unity and development of the Kingdom”.

He therefore prayed that Allah (SWT) will guide the emir and the entire emirate while wishing him a successful and remarkable reign.

Responding, Alh. Ibrahim Usman Jibril said that both Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have a long history of collaboration as the state was among the states from which the FCT was created in 1976.

The new Emir thanked the FCDA Executive Secretary and his entourage for the visit which he said would remain indelible in his mind for a long time to come given the culture where people tend to be forgotten soon after they are gone.

He said that the fact that the FCDA has deemed it fit to rejoice with him at this time was a pointer to the fact that the Authority appreciated his little contributions while in its employment not minding that he may have inadvertently stepped on some toes in the line of duty.

It will be recalled that Alh. Ibrahim Usman Jibril recently resigned his appointment as Minister of Environment to answer the call of his people to become the 12th emir of Nasarawa after the demise of Alhaji Hassan Ahmed Abubakar II on November 8, 2018.
