FCDA INAUGURATES COMMITTEE ON RATES REVIEW

 

       The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. UmarGamboJibrin, has inaugurated a 10 member committee on valuation claims associated with the operation of rates on on-going FCTA/FCDA projects.

   Speaking while inaugurating the committee, the Executive Secretary expressed confidence in the members, describing them as “a crack team that would do the Authority proud”. He charged them to take their assignment seriously.

      He charged them that their report should be ready in the next two weeks.

   While presenting the committee members to the Executive Secretary, the Director, Engineering Services, Engr. ShehuHadi Ahmad said the setting up of the committee was sequel to the directive by the Honourable Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, noting that the committee’s assignment was to examine all the submissions from contractors, adding that some of the rates had lasted for a long time.

     Responding, the Chairman of the committee who is also the Director, Procurement, Qs Graham Nuhu thanked the Executive Secretary for their selection, promising that they would do their best to justify the confidence reposed in them despite the challenges they may experience in the course of their work.

       Members of the committee were drawn from FCDA’s departments of Engineering Services, Public Buildings, Engineering Design and Evaluation, Procurement as well as Finance and Administration and Legal Services. Others were drawn from FCTA’s departments of Satellite Towns Development, Procurement and Treasury.
