Your Passion for FCDA is Unparelled, Executive Secretary Tells Retiring Head, Public Relations.

“One thing that is very clear which has been attributed to you and the way you have conducted yourself in the service of the FCDA is that you surely have exhibited an unparalled passion for the organization.

“I want to confirm that we recognize all through that you are exiting the service with an unblemished record and we congratulate you for that.”

Those were the words of the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr Shehu Hadi Ahmad during a valedictory session by the Authority’s Executive Management Committee (EMC) in honour of the immediate past Head of the Public Relations Division, Mr Richard Nduul who just retired from service.

The Executive Secretary, who described Mr Nduul as proactive and quite initiative, whose role as Head, Public Relations transcended beyond the official, and whose activities, alongside other support staff, had made much easier and enhanced, his own role as the Executive Secretary.

He said, “To say the least that we are going to miss you is an understatement, but we will see to it that all the effort you have put in in the past years will not be in vain”.

“On behalf of the Federal Capital Development Authority, the Management and staff of the Authority, we want to congratulate you, we want to wish you well in your subsequent future endeavour and our prayer is that your life even outside will be much better than what you have expended in service.”

Other members of the EMC who took turns to speak described Mr Nduul as warm, amiable, accommodating, skillful and passionate about his work and a seasoned public servant who is full of energy.

Responding, Mr Nduul expressed gratitude to the Executive Secretary for his kind words and described the latter as not a boss, but a leader, who had been a mentor to him even before he became the Executive Secretary. He added that he thoroughly enjoyed his working relationship with the FCDA helmsman.  

He noted that “I am going very fulfilled. The FCDA didn’t just put food on my table, the FCDA gave me a family. Everybody seated here is my family. I am going out as an Ambassador of the FCDA”.

“To my colleagues in the EMC, I have had a wonderful time with you. Please, continue to support the Executive Secretary as you have always done.”
