FCDA Gave Us Wings to Fly, Trained Us, Sent Us Abroad, Says Retiring Director

The immediate past Director of the Department of Mass Housing / Public–Private Partnership, Engr Emmanuel Abiodun Oluwadamisi has expressed immense appreciation and gratitude to the FCDA as an organization for the milestones he achieved in his working career, noting that he joined the Authority as a graduate while retiring, he has a Ph.D.

The Director, Engr Oluwadamisi, stated this while speaking during a Send-off ceremony in his honor alongside Engr Mansur Abubakar Mawashi and ESV Boma Kent Tariah. Until their retirement, they were the Deputy Directors in charge of Engineering Infrastructure and Monitoring and Evaluation, respectively, in the Department of Mass Housing, which organized the send–off.

He said, “FCDA   trained us. I have had the privilege to work with the FCDA for 33 years now and during this period, we have received tremendous training.  I came into FCDA   as a graduate, but today, by the grace of God, I have a Ph.D. I came into FCDA, I had never been to the Airport, but today, I have travelled around the world. I really, on behalf of my colleagues, say a very big thank you to FCDA for giving us the wings to fly; for training us, for helping us “

The outgoing Director said he and his retiring colleagues were ready to offer more services to the FCDA whenever such services were needed. “We are not leaving FCDA, we are only retiring statutorily by age, whenever the FCDA requires our services, we would be here to offer service so that we give back to society “, he stated.

He also expressed gratitude to the Executive Management Committee (EMC) for the warmth and love he enjoyed from the fold, stressing that, “You have been so good; it is a big family. Thank you so much”

Speaking earlier, the Director of Human Resource Management, Alhaji Aminu Aliyu Gaya, who chaired the occasion, charged the retirees not to be afraid of retirement as their new phase of life might be better than when they were working.

The Director remarked, “It is an honor for me to be here to celebrate with them. We wish them the very best as their new phase of life might be much better than when they were working “

Also responding, the other two retirees thanked the staff of the Mass Housing department for the honor done to them while assuring that they were willing to offer more services to the FCDA whenever requested to do so.
