The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda only had praise during a valedictory session by the Authority’s Executive Management Committee (EMC) in honour of the Director, Surveying and Mapping, Surveyor Charity Michael Olla, PhD, as she exited from service on Tuesday 11th March, 2026.
The Executive Secretary noted that with Surveyor Olla, it had been an interesting time of teaching, learning and working, a time of contributing to national development and growth through the department of Surveying and Mapping.
He told the retiree, “The contributions you have made cannot in any way be ignored. I praise you for all that you have done. Several times you have been saddled with responsibilities, you executed them with despatch. Let me seize this opportunity to thank you for all that you have done, for all your services “
Other members of the EMC who took turns to speak described Surveyor Olla as hardworking, professional, intelligent, versatile, humble and respectful.
Responding, Surveyor Charity Michael Olla thanked God for attaining age Sixty and reaching the peak of her career. She said she was immensely grateful to FCDA for the privilege and honour to be among the builders of the nation’s Capital City. She expressed gratitude to her colleagues in the EMC for the friendship and sundry support extended to her while working together with them.
