The Executive Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda has paid glowing tributes to the late Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory, Mrs Grace Adayilo who died on Monday the 1st of September, 2025.
In a condolence message he personally signed, the Executive Secretary said her death came to him as a rude shock, and that it was difficult to believe that she had gone to be with her creator.
He described the late Head of Service as a humble, jovial, enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated Civil Servant who was first in many respects, including being the first woman and the first indigenous Head of Service of the FCT. “Her loss is a big blow to us all in the FCT “, he said.
“I encourage members of her family to take solace in her virtues and continue to draw strength from the worthy life she lived. Her legacies and the lives she touched live on”, he stated.
Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary on Tuesday led members of the Authority’s Executive Management Committee (EMC) on a condolence visit to the late Grace Adayilo’s family in Gwarinpa, Abuja, where he assured them that both the Management and staff of the FCDA are with them this trying time.
